Olympic Debut

According to CNN, the IOC and Saudi Arabia met together to discuss the female participation in the upcoming Summer Olympic Games.

Saudi Arabia is only one out of three countries who has never sent women to participate in the Olympic Games.
The International Olympic Committee says it is confident Saudi Arabia is "working to include women athletes and officials at the Olympic Games in London in accordance with the International Federations' rules."

The IOC is hoping to change this fact, by allowing the Saudi women to participate in the games this summer. They have confidence that Saudi Arabia will allow female officials and players to participate in the games. However, the IOC still has a lot to do. Especially when observing the list of women who have been eligible to participate.

L.A. Galaxy and Beckham's return

Even with the return of England's David Beckham to the L.A. Galaxy, it didn't help the team win their season opener against Real Salt Lake.

I was surprised that the Galaxy fell on their season opener, it was unexpected from the dominant team.

Recently when I see MLS, it usually about L.A. Galaxy and about David Beckham. There are a lot of good and bad that comes with this. It is awesome that MLS is receiving more and more attention from United States Citizens, but why are they focusing more attention to international soccer stars?

What does America have to do to make soccer popular as a whole rather than letting International Stars take the spotlight?

Major League Soccer

Many American citizens may not realize that a new season is about to start. I hear about the MLB, NBA, March Madness and so much more, but one thing that I never really hear people talk about is Major League Soccer.

There have been so many professionals that have been imported from other countries who now promote the sport and play the game that they love. I even hear that because professional players, like Beckham, have come to the United States, there has been an increase in popularity of Soccer.

However, I still don't hear much about Major League Soccer. I am a fan of Soccer, but I understand that it is hard to watch an MLS game on TV. I feel as they don't get much air time, and even the Premier League seems to get more air time then MLS.

I want to see an MLS game that opens the season.
